This project demonstrates knowledge of the network analysis function of ArcGIS. I created a functional road network to determine travel times to the trauma-level emergency rooms in Chicago with and without the University of Chicago hospital, which reopened in 2018 after almost four decades of closure. I analyzed how many residents and Black residents had access to care within a 10 minute driveshed before and after the UChicago reopening. After completing this project I am able to use advanced transportation analysis techniques in GIS and can apply them to real-world equity issues.
